THE LEGEND OF THE TROUBLE-FÊTE
What would Halloween be without a true (or nearly) bone-chilling story? Discover the legend of the Trouble-Fête.
Free event for people of all ages.
6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
A carnival of skeletons, giant marionettes, fire-breathers and storytellers will be amping up the excitement as the awakening of the Trouble-Fête approaches. Next, a very Gothic Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal choir takes to the stage, followed by Yann Perreau who will crank up the heat with techno beats, then hand the dancing crowd over to DJ Stéphane Cock. Dress up in your most macabre garb and join us for an epic party – and take advantage of professional face painters on-site to look your most gruesome!
Free event (except face painting) for people of all ages. Not for the fainthearted.
1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On Saturday, Montréal will be host to Canada’s biggest zombie walk ever! Thousands of the living dead, under the spell of the Trouble-Fête, will be swarming Montréal’s streets in the Quartier des spectacles, causing city dwellers to quake with terror. Professional face painters and zombie entertainers will be overtaking Place des Festivals and keeping this horde of undead marching onward.
There will be a dozen or so deadly funny entertainment zones all along the walk. Those who make it back to PdF will be treated to a mass choreography with over 100 zombie dancers and shows by PUP, Chocolat and Duchess says! Be there for a very high-voltage bash!
Free event for the whole family
Calling all apprentice wizards in Montréal! We need your help to fight the Trouble-Fête!
For this special mission, the Place des Festivals will be transformed into a wizards’ village where a battalion of young wizards will receive their training through an array of activities, and be ready to face this terrible creature. Magic wand-making, a spooky carrousel, face painting, an enchanted forest and more are on the program.
Children will receive stamps in special passports, proving their participation in the apprentice wizard workshops. Later, a great parade of wizards on floats will wind its way to the heart of the action to meet the mighty Trouble-Fête head on. The kids will be treated to a show by Les Petites Tounes as a thank-you for their precious assistance.
