Montréal becomes an open-air theatre in the largest street theatre event in North America! More than 50 spectacular, free performances presented by some fifty street theatre groups who are among the best on the planet.

Set sail on a spectacular voyage that features fireworks and high waters. As the sea shifts from calm to turbulent, experience an epic voyage aboard a beautiful ship that docks for poetic and touching moments. The fabulous crew of the Spanish troupe XARXA TEATRE is waiting for you to embark on a journey as entertaining as it is stunning. Free.

SAINT-DENIS STREET – Through July 25
18 québécois troupes and 27 international troupes offer more than 800 free outdoor performances for all. A colossal program combining fantasy, wackiness, and virtuosity.
ESPLANADE DE LA PLACE DES ARTS – Through July 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This is the best place to relax and enjoy a bite to eat while taking in the events of the 375th. The Esplanade takes the rhythm, colours, accents, and flavours of Latin and Hispanic cultures with stunning mobile activities, a selection of restaurateurs offering traditional dishes of the Americas and an immersive, surprising, and interactive environment.
Eleven plays that are hilarious, touching, lyrical, over-the-top, interactive, and creative and are presented in a variety of ways, from mime to circus! Catch them on several Montréal stages and enjoy this diverse range of summertime events.
GESÙ – July 11 to 22 at 6:30 p.m.
A show for everyone starring Julien Cottereau that evokes the beauty and wonder of our childhood. This mime and Cirque du Soleil sound effects artist uses his arsenal of sounds to share the magical world of his naïve and touching Peter Pan-like character. Irresistible!
GESÙ – July 11 to 22 at 8:30 p.m.
It’s up to you to solve the crime! An interactive police comedy that holds the Guinness Book of World Records in the US with over 9 million audience members worldwide! The first play that makes you the hero! A hairdressing salon, a murder, a cop, suspects, it’s up to you to put the pieces together. Exciting!
RÊVEURS DÉFINITIFS – A JOURNEY INTO THE ILLUSION
THÉÂTRE ST-DENIS 2 – Through July 22
Apparitions, levitations, transformations – it all makes for a great feast of magic and wonder! This sumptuous show brings together classic and original numbers combining the art of New Magic with the traditional art of illusion in an immaculate and fluid onstage performance.
MONUMENT NATIONAL – STUDIO HYDRO-QUÉBEC – Through July 29
Noémie Caillault tells the story of her fight with cancer using humour and biting emotion. A touching and, above all, incredibly lively show. Noémie tells her harrowing story alone on stage using only her words, sincerity, fragility, and her bursts of laughter. The joy is contagious!
SAT – July 10 to 23
The 7 Fingers of the Hand go back in time and revive the crazy years during the birth of the Montréal artistic scene in an experiential creation in the heart of Saint-Laurent Boulevard. Thirty artists using circus, theatre, comedy, video projections, and music hall bring to life something you have never seen before, all to celebrate Montreal! 18+
