For the past 50 years, the École supérieure de ballet du Québec has been training elite dancers in its Montréal studios who perform on the world's most prestigious stages. For Montréal's 375th, the École supérieure would like to thank Montréal by performing a danced reverence by students of its professional dance-study program.
In classical dance, the reverence is used as a greeting as well as a thank you at the end of a class or following a performance. For the pleasure of the public watching, the choreography will be adapted according to the space selected.
A dance photographer will also be on site to capture the most stunning moments during the performance of these reverences. The best photographs will become part of an exhibition that will be presented following Montréal's 375th anniversary.
