Feu, feu, joli feu, un karaoké des bois
February 5th and June 24th, starting at 3 pm - Parc St-Viateur
Les Amis de la place Marcelle-Ferron
Les Amis de la Place Marcelle-Ferron, a group of citizens who are committed to public art and promoting the artistic and social thought of Marcelle Ferron, are organizing three song-filled evenings around the campfire exploring the themes of land, nature, and origins.

These activities will illustrate the variety of music for different occasions: songs of First Nations, early French settlers, songs of the first inhabitants at the time of Outremont’s founding, and current songs.

It will also be an opportunity to map the use of the territory by its first occupants as well as some characters related to our theme.

We will be honouring the arts as per the tradition of Les Amis de la place Marcelle-Ferron. In addition to music, we will mark the landscape with the contribution of the visual arts. To do this, we will identify the first paths traveled as well as those that shaped the urban fabric of Outremont.

On February 5, two guest storytellers invited us to sing First Nations songs and early settlers: Nicole O'Bonsawin and Francis Désilets
